Moulana Ahmed Chohan is a senior Islamic scholar in South Africa having served various leadership roles and having a long history of service to the community. After completing schooling in the coastal town of Durban, South Africa, Moulana Chohan became one of the first students of the Islamic seminary, Darul Uloom Zakaria in the city of Johannesburg. He thereafter went on to complete his Islamic studies in Dhabel, India. Since graduation Moulana has been Imam of several Mosques in South Africa and was founder and principal of a girl’s Islamic seminary in his home town of Durban. Moulana Chohan is a trustee and key advisor of the Al-Imdaad Foundation, which is a humanitarian NGO registered in South Africa, working locally and internationally. In his role at the Al-ImdaadFoundation Moulana Chohan has been involved in numerous charitable and humanitarian activities in South Africa and across the world.
